Power Negotiation State

This feature is supported only on FX series readers. The FX Reader’s Power Negotiation State can be configured to either Enable or Disable. While in Enable mode, the Power negotiation can be done either in cisco switch or in any other switch. While in Disable mode, the Power negotiation will not take place. The property PowerNegotiationState can be used for getting or setting this information.

Power Negotiation Status

This feature is supported only on FX series readers. The FX Reader’s The Power Negotiation Status can be checked using this API, the power negotiation status can be among one of the following:

1.Succeeded: when power negotiation is completed.

2.Ongoing: when power negotiation is in progress.

3.Disabled: when power negotiation state is disabled.

4.Failure: when power negotiation Failed.

5.Not Applicable: when reader is not connected to CDP/LLDP enabled switch.

The property powerNegotiationStatus can be used for getting this information.
